Making a Difference for Gilda’s Club and the Community

At our credit union, giving back to the community is more than a one-time effort—it’s part of who we are. This fall, we were proud to support Madison’s Gilda’s Club through our annual Chocolates for Charity fundraiser, raising a total of $887 during the months of October and November.

October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, while November focuses on men’s cancer awareness. Throughout both months, members and staff came together to enjoy sweet treats while contributing to an organization that provides meaningful support to individuals and families impacted by cancer. This year’s donation marks our third consecutive year supporting Gilda’s Club through Chocolates for Charity, and we’re grateful for the continued generosity of our members.

About Gilda’s Club Madison

Gilda’s Club was founded in honor of comedian Gilda Radner, who believed deeply in the power of community and connection during cancer treatment. Today, Gilda’s Club Madison continues that legacy by offering free emotional and social support to anyone impacted by cancer—patients, survivors, caregivers, and loved ones.

Their programs include support groups, educational workshops, healthy lifestyle activities, and social events, all designed to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone. The welcoming clubhouse environment creates a space for connection, understanding, and hope at every stage of the cancer journey.

Giving Back All Year Long

Chocolates for Charity is one of the ways we turn everyday moments into meaningful impact. Throughout the year, proceeds from our chocolate sales are donated to local organizations that make a difference in our community:

• February: Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin

• March (beginning in 2026): WYSO

• October & November: Gilda’s Club Madison

• All other months: Goodman Center’s Annual Backpack & School Supply Drive

By supporting a rotating list of beneficiaries, we’re able to reach different corners of our community and respond to a wide range of needs—from healthcare and youth services to education and family support.
