Two New Shared Branching ITMs

Two New Shared Branch ITMs Open in Madison

Dupaco Credit Union has just announced the opening of two new drive-up, shared branching ITMs.

An ITM or Interactive Teller Machine looks similar to an ATM but with a larger screen and more capabilities. An ITM allows users to speak with a teller via video chat in order to complete a large range of transactions.

There are two ways to use an ITM. It can be used as an ATM with deposit capabilities or you can push a button to speak with a teller via video chat and complete most transactions you could complete in front of a teller. ITMs also allow users to access their accounts without an ATM card or debit card, in those cases a member ID number and a government issued ID card would be needed.

  • Make a withdrawal
  • Make a cash and/or check deposit
  • Check balances
  • Make a loan payment

At an ITM you cannot get a money order.

Dupaco CU has opened two shared branch ITMs. A location on the west side at: 7701 Mineral Point Rd., and a location on the east side at: 3762 E. Washington Ave. Dupaco CU’s in-branch service still does not support co-op shared branching services, only the ITM machines in the drive-up and only when used with the teller video chat during business hours.

In order to use the ITMs as a fee-free, shared branch location, they must be used Dupaco’s business hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm and Saturdays 8am – 1pm.  Members must also choose to ‘Talk with Representative’. If a member visits the machine outside of Dupaco’s business hours or doesn’t choose to speak with a representative through the machine, they will be charged a $2.50 convenience fee.

At Madison Credit Union, we are proud to be a full Co-op Shared Branch location, allowing our members to use shared branch locations throughout the country and accepting members from other shared branch locations from across the country. We wish that other credit unions felt the same and treated shared branching as a way to support the credit union community as a whole, as the system was intended. We hope that more credit unions will again open their shared branching doors.
