UPDATE: Prepare for Your New Debit Card

Madison Credit Union is getting new debit cards!

We’re excited to announce an upgrade to our debit card program! As part of our ongoing commitment to improving your banking experience, we’re switching to a new debit card provider—bringing you enhanced features, stronger security, and a touch of local flair.

What’s New?

Tap-to-Pay – Enjoy the safety and speed of contactless payments anywhere you see the contactless symbol.

     Mobile Wallet Ready – Add your debit card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Wallet for seamless, secure payments—no need to pull out your card!

      Enhanced Fraud Protection – Industry-leading, 24/7 security monitoring and a new fraud alert system will notify you via text, call, or email if suspicious activity is detected.

     Local Flair – Choose from two new card designs, each featuring an iconic Madison landmark.

In addition to these great features, we’re introducing instant issue debit cards! Need a replacement or a new card? No more waiting 7-10 days—stop by a branch and get one on the spot.

How to Prepare

  • Watch For Your New Card
    • Cards will arrive in a plain, white envelope—keep an eye out!
    • Have a new address or phone number? Let us know ASAP to avoid delays!
  • Start Using Your New Card on May 14, 2025
      • Activate your new card anytime after it arrives and set your PIN by calling (855) 726-4885.
      • You can begin using your new card on May 14th.
      • Your current debit card will work through May 13, 2025. Your current card will no longer work after May 13th.

  • New Card – New Number
    • Your new debit card is coming with a new debit card number! If you use your debit card for recurring payments (internet, insurance, phone, gym, etc.), be sure to update your card details to avoid service interruptions.

  • Update Your Recurring Payments
    • When updating any autopayment information, we recommend to go over the previous three months of bank statements. (See the image below on where to get your eStatements.) This will give a more accurate look at any autopayments in the case that some payments come out quarterly instead of monthly.  You our helpful transaction checklist to stay organized!
