A Look Back, A Step Forward: Reflecting on 2024 and Exciting Plans for 2025

As we step into 2025, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey we’ve shared with you, our valued members, over the past year. Together, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones, and it’s all thanks to your continued trust, support, and commitment to Madison Credit Union.

2024 Highlights

This past year, we were thrilled to welcome nearly 300 new members into the Madison Credit Union family. Seeing so many individuals and families embrace our mission of financial empowerment reminds us of the strength and vibrancy of our growing community.

We also made exciting strides in enhancing your banking experience. From implementing two-factor authentication to strengthen account security to introducing online account opening for youth accounts, we’re working hard to make managing your money more seamless and secure. Additionally, we refreshed our branch with new paint, updated carpeting, and a drive-up system upgrade—all designed to better serve you in a fresh, comfortable space.

Our support for City of Madison employee initiatives remained strong in 2024. Half of our staff participated in the beloved Ride the Drive event, bringing fun and fitness to our community. We were also proud to help organize the annual City Employees’ Bowling Tournament, fostering camaraderie and connection among our city’s dedicated workforce. These efforts reflect our deep-rooted commitment to our core supporters.

Our broader community involvement continued to make a positive impact. The Annual Shred Event raised an impressive $996 and collected over 300 pounds of food for the River Food Pantry. Your generosity helped us raise nearly $3,000 through our Chocolates for Charity drive and employee charity fund, benefiting organizations like Children’s Miracle Network, Gilda’s Club, and The Goodman Community Center.

In 2024, we also added a holiday pie giveaway to complement our well-loved Father’s Day and Mother’s Day member appreciation giveaways—just one of the fun ways we like to give back and say “thank you” for being part of the Madison Credit Union family.

What’s Coming in 2025

Looking ahead, we’re excited to introduce even more enhancements for our members:

• New debit cards featuring touch-to-pay technology, mobile wallet compatibility, and instant issue services will be available starting in May, providing greater convenience and security.
• A new phone system with text messaging capabilities and after-hours voicemail will make staying connected easier than ever.

Education is key to financial success, and we plan to launch a $1,000 scholarship program to support high school seniors and college students in achieving their academic goals. Stay tuned!

Building on the success of our Financial Wellness Webinars, we’ll return in 2025 with expanded topics and more engaging sessions. From cybersecurity and home buying to investing, retirement planning, and estate planning, these webinars will offer the tools you need to navigate your financial future with confidence.
