Mobil App Update – Moving to 7.0!
Starting Monday, October 21st, mobile app users will see a few new features with their mobile app banking. The Home screen will highlight a new Support Center widget as well as a Member Notices widget. These two widgets will add more communication lines between the credit union and our members.
Support Center Widget
Members will be able to easily contact the credit union by in-app messaging, email, or phone with just a push of a button. In the spring of 2025 we will be adding text messaging to the credit union as an additional method of contact. This section also includes an app reboot feature. If a user clicks on “Having Issues?… Reset App Data”, the app will be cleared of the members data. It will be as though the app had just been downloaded.
Member Notices Widget
Our new Member Notice section will be reserved to inform members of important upcoming or current credit union notices. Those might include holiday closures, software updates, or popular scams members should be aware of.
The final new section on our Home screen, users will see Popular Forms. These include easy-to-access ways for members to do some of the most requested adjustments to their Madison Credit Union account. If there is something that you would like to see, let us know!
Depending on your phone and app store settings, your app will either automatically update or will need to be manually updated.
For Apple iOS users, the default setting is set for downloaded apps to automatically update. If you are not seeing that your app has updated, here is an article from Apple that gives step by step instructions on how to update an app and how to turn auto updates on/off.
For Android, Samsung, Google Play users, you can find detailed instructions from Google here to update your app or set up auto updates for your apps.
IMPORTANT: If your app has not updated by October 31st, please reach out to the credit union for assistance. As of November 11th, we are moving to a new two-factor authentication system and all mobile users must use the latest 7.0 for that work. For more information on the new authentication protocol visit read our article: Multi-Factor Authentication is Coming!
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us by phone or email.
