Madison Credit Union Emergency Closures
**UPDATE**
We have just had word that starting tomorrow our employees can safely return to the credit union. We will open our drive-up as usual tomorrow, from 9am-12pm. In-lobby service will continue as normal on Monday, October 23rd. We are sorry for the inconvenience this situation may have caused and appreciate everyone’s understanding.
**********
Madison Credit Union is currently closed due to an emergency closure protocol.
On Monday, October 16th, employees noticed a smell of gasoline permeating the credit union. On Tuesday, the smell had become strong enough that employees were forced to evacuate. Yesterday we were able to open for a few hours in the morning before we were again forced to evacuate the building by emergency services.
We are doing everything we can to fix the problem so employees can safely return to work at the credit union. In the meantime we are also looking for alternative ways to continue to serve our members, including a temporary partnership with another credit union or a mobile trailer to serve members from the parking lot.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please know we are doing everything we can to find a solution.
We will continue to be able answer questions and concerns via email at creditunion@madisoncu.com.
Our online banking and mobile app will continue to work as usual for Bill Pay, account balances, transfers, mobile check deposit, etc. You can also check balances via our telephone banking system. Click here for more information on all our Virtual Banking options.
Here is a list of additional resources:
- To make a cash deposit, please use our Night Drop slot near the entrance. If it is a time sensitive deposit, we will refund any NSF fees incurred due to our closure.
- To withdraw cash, there are fee-free ATMs at any KwikTrip location including Woodmans and most other credit unions. To see a full list visit the Co-op Shared Branching website.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We will continue to keep you updated with any information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding,
